We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic and confident individual to work as a Sensory Panel Leader for one of our clients, based at our Sensory Science Centre at Reading University.

This is an exciting new role where the Sensory Panel Leader will have prime responsibility for training and managing a new denture care panel as well as leading this client’s sensory projects through completion; from initial briefing to full sensory report provision and ensuring that the research design, panel session planning and leadership, sensory moderation, panel performance analysis and monitoring, statistical analysis and reporting and recommendations fulfil our clients’ needs and fit their KPIs. You will work collaboratively with the HR team to regularly recruit and train new panellists to ensure that panel numbers are at the required level. This role also requires working closely with the client’s internal sensory scientists therefore accomplished client management skills are essential.

Candidates should be educated to degree level or equivalent; sensory profiling and trained panel leading experience is desirable and experience working in the food industry essential. On the job training will be provided along with external training. This role requires a high level of IT competency (understanding of Compusense system would be beneficial), and good organisational and self-management skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and be adaptable is essential.

The Role

As part of a small and very busy marketing communications team, the Trainee Artworker will be responsible for the clear and engaging layout of research reports, proposals and additional marketing materials as required. You will work with the Future Focus Team and Global Research Teams to interpret requirements and produce visual communications materials, debrief and proposal presentation design layouts and other creative solutions as required.

Other duties may involve producing the internal global newsletter, assisting with the production of moving graphics, photography and video solutions, assisting with the maintenance of the website and providing general administrative support as required (including printing/binding, onsite event set up support, sourcing images and desk research).

You’ll be working alongside experienced senior marketers and market researchers, with exposure to some exciting clients and the full creative mix – print, digital, photography, moving graphics and events. Reading University, UK: Part-time Sensory Panellist (Denture Panel)

Do you wear dentures and want to contribute towards denture products? Learn a new skill by working part-time as a Sensory Panellist and fit your hours around other commitments.

MMR Research Worldwide specialise in consumer and sensory market research in the food, drink, personal and household care sectors.

We are currently looking for articulate and collaborative people who wear full top plate dentures (no indent) to join an exciting new sensory team based at our Sensory Science Centre at Reading University. Using the new skills that you’ll learn, you will be required to evaluate denture adhesives, cleansers and specialist toothpastes, paid at an hourly rate of £8.20 per hour.

No prior knowledge is required as full training will be given.

Unfortunately, if you have any food intolerances or allergies, mouth piercings, chronic oral conditions or have any medical conditions which require regular medication, this position will not be suitable for you as panellists are required to test a varying range of products.

This is a part-time role for a fixed-term contract of 12 months. The first 12 weeks will be a training period and will require you to work 2.5 hours per day, 3 days per week in Reading within a large group. These hours could take place within or outside of working hours depending on your availability. Timings would be fixed for the duration of the training period and agreed before the commencement of the role.

Following the training period, your core hours will be an hour and a half on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and you will be required to spend around 45 minutes of this at Reading University (between 7.30am and 9am as agreed with your manager), and the rest of the evaluation will be completed in your own home or workplace.

Parking permits for parking on the campus of the Reading University will be provided as required.

Are you looking for a permanent part-time opportunity in a unique role? Working hours will be Monday – Wednesday from 9.30am – 11.30am (no experience necessary as full training is provided) although applicants need the flexibility to work from home when required.

MMR Research Worldwide specialise in consumer and sensory market research. We currently have an expert panel of Sensory Panellists based at Reading University and are looking for potential panellists for future vacancies, paid at an hourly rate of £8.20.

Sensory Panellists work both individually and within a team to evaluate products within the food, drink and personal care industry therefore candidates should have good sensory acuity (this will be tested at a screening session), and have the ability to articulate themselves in front of others. No experience is necessary as full training will be provided.

Products evaluated will be varied ranging from food (including seafood and individual food ingredients) and drink (including alcohol & caffeinated drinks) through to personal care products such as shampoo, deodorant, washing powder and skin care products.

We are currently recruiting for potential panellists for future vacancies on the panel. Your core working pattern will be 2 hours per day, Monday to Wednesday, 9.30am to 11.30am although flexibility to work additional hours on those days (and on a Thursday) is required as necessary. Flexibility for home-working where products are evaluated individually in your own home is required.
