Plant foods for health!

David Thomson will be speaking at an event to be held at the University of Reading on Thursday 18th September. Here are further details.
In association with the Thames Valley Life Sciences Network and SEEDA, the University of Reading invites you to attend a unique event in which the University will showcase its wealth of research in the area of Plants and Health. A programme is outlined on the attached document and covers a diverse range of topics presented by our specialists from Plant Sciences, Horticulture, Agriculture Food Sciences and Psychology.
Through a series of themed presentations, the University will demonstrate the breadth of research being conducted across the various disciplines at Reading and its potential applications in the healthcare, farming functional food and food retailing industries. The event will also provide opportunities to network with staff and colleagues, and to discuss the wider aspects of cross-disciplinary research with our specialists.
The event will be held be on Thursday 18th September, 2008, in the Nike Lecture Theatre at the University. Starting at 2.00pm, the showcase will extend into the early evening and will finish with networking, drinks and a buffet.
