Digital Marketing Manager (Ideal Insights) London based

Ideal Insight is a market leading creative agency that produces video, photography and social campaigns for some of the UK’s leading brands.

THE ROLE

  • Manage a dedicated digital marketing budget effectively and efficiently
  • Implement and oversee a range of techniques in SEO and PPC campaign development
  • Help manage the full redevelopment of our website and landing pages - tracking conversation rates and devising strategies to drive traffic
  • Manage all social media channels and campaigns (paid and organic)
  • Run email campaigns to our database of prospective clients (mailchimp)
  • Implement content marketing for the company through our in house creative team
  • Managing online brand and product campaigns to raise brand awareness
  • Review new technologies and keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital marketing

REQUIREMENTS

  • Digital agency experience required allowing you to develop your own campaigns and act independently
  • Understanding of B2B marketing (experience is a bonus) although B2C marketing experience is also applicable
  • Experience in working as part of a small marketing team and driving results essential
  • Proven understanding and track record in paid social media and PPC
  • Skills in Adobe would be beneficial (photo-shop, premier pro, illustrator)
  • Photography and video skills advantageous

Qualitative Sensory Research Manager

We are currently looking for an experienced sensory scientist to work as a Qualitative Sensory Research Manager and develop their career with MMR. This role is based in our head office in Wallingford (between Oxford and Reading). We are a global leader in consumer and sensory research and guide innovation for clients within the food, drink and personal care sectors. With a head office in Oxfordshire, we have a small team in London and global offices in the US, China, Singapore, Africa and India.

This role will be based within the UK sensory team and will enable us to continue to grow one our most innovative and exciting methodologies; Retreats and EROS. Both approaches use qualitative collaborative techniques designed to help clients work towards perfect product briefs, so there is great client interaction and consumer understanding are key to add value to the process.

You will work across all MMR existing client teams and new ones too, which will provide a lot of variety in the product categories researched. Most of MMR’s work is food, drink and personal care related, so experience in these sectors is advantageous, to be able demonstrate relevant expertise to our clients.

Although the role is UK based, we conduct Retreats and EROS all over the world, so there are expect plenty of opportunities to travel and explore new countries. Any foreign language skills are therefore advantageous. Being able to drive a car is essential.

Essential Skills

  • Sensory moderation – candidates should be able to elicit detailed sensory vocabulary from trained panelists and transfer these moderation skills to working with clients / untrained consumers
  • Sensory acuity– ability to articulate product sensory characteristics themselves and to provide clear argumentation / recommendation on product differences to support a product selection relevant to the project objectives
  • Passion for sensory research
  • Strong communication skills (fluent in written / spoken English is essential)

Brentford, UK; Sensory Panellist (Part-time Product Evaluator)

Learn a new skill and help bring products to life in a permanent part-time role!

MMR Research Worldwide specialise in consumer and sensory market research in the food, drink, personal and household care sectors.

We are currently looking for articulate and collaborative people for current & future opportunities on our sensory team based in Brentford. Using the new skills that you’ll learn, you will be required to sample all sorts of oral health, skincare products and over the counter medicine.

Responsibilities:

  • Working individually and within a team to evaluate products within the oral health and skincare industry.
  • Products range from toothpaste and mouthwash to moisturising creams.

Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday, 9.30am – 12.30pm (future opportunities) or 1.30pm to 4.30pm (current vacancy)
  • Flexibility to work on projects at home if required (on rare occasions)

Requirements:

  • No experience necessary (full training provided)
  • Good sensory acuity (this will be tested at a screening session),
  • The ability to articulate yourself effectively in front of others.
  • You should not have any food intolerances / allergies, smoke / vape, mouth piercings or be on regular medication

Role

As a Research Manager, you will take the lead on running market research projects, involving client liaison and project management from research design through to final debrief presentations. Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and organising fieldwork in the UK and overseas
  • Creating questionnaires against client objectives
  • Analysing data (both quantitatively and qualitatively)
  • Creating & delivering insightful presentations

The work covers a range of ad hoc projects, typically involving quantitative and qualitative research, in the UK and internationally. With MMR’s focus on developing new and better research methods and sophisticated analysis techniques, the role offers the opportunity to gain experience of several novel and exciting approaches to conducting research and interpreting data.

Skills and Qualities

  • Previous experience within an ad hoc agency environment essential
  • Quantitative experience essential and exposure to qualitative preferable
  • Experience of involvement in report writing essential
  • Ability to tell a story from the data is essential
  • Strong organisational & time management skills required
  • Strong communication skills & the ability to work effectively as a team essential
