Senior Research Associate - London

Role

As a Senior Research Executive, you will take the lead on running market research projects, involving client liaison and project management from research design through to final debrief presentations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and organising fieldwork in the UK and overseas
  • Creating questionnaires against client objectives
  • Analysing data (both quantitatively and qualitatively)
  • Creating insightful presentations

The work covers a range of ad hoc projects, typically involving quantitative and qualitative research, and both traditional and online fieldwork in the UK and internationally. With MMR’s focus on developing new and better research methods and sophisticated analysis techniques, the role offers the opportunity to gain experience of several novel and exciting approaches to conducting research and interpreting data.

Skills and Qualities

  • Previous experience within an ad hoc agency environment essential

The Role

We are looking for a dynamic in-house Talent Acquisition Executive to join MMR Research Worldwide’s HR team.

You will work in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition Manager on our ongoing quest to discover fantastic global talent for each of our regions and companies, helping build a strong employment brand and delivering a fantastic recruitment experience to all candidates and hiring managers.

You will recruit for a variety of roles across various business and office locations, with the primary focus being our largest entity – MMR. The roles are often challenging – with very specific skill sets, and our focus is on quality of candidates rather than volume recruitment.

This role is based in our Head Office in Wallingford, Oxfordshire.

Responsibilities are:

  • Manage the end to end recruitment life cycle from initial job brief to offer for the junior level roles across the global MMR RW business and brands using the Workable Talent Acquisition platform
  • Use direct methods to attract and source junior level top talent across all departments and roles
  • For your allocated roles manage a range of recruitment channels including our careers page, LinkedIn, job boards, social media and internal networks
  • Identify passive talent and build talent pools for current and future vacancies
  • Conduct initial interviews and coordinate subsequent interview stages
  • Act as the single point of contact for candidates and provide an exceptional candidate experience

The opportunity…

MMR’s qualitative footprint is expanding, especially in terms of Sensory Qual Research, and we are looking for a Qualitative Trainee Research Executive to join this team. This role will be responsible assisting with the execution of fieldwork, helping with interpretation of information and report writing. You will assist senior qualitative researchers to ensure that the research design, analysis and interpretation of results fulfils clients’ needs.

Trainee Research Executive’s get the opportunity to work across a number of well-known international brands helping to manage projects across all stages of the project cycle working within a dynamic, fast paced team environment. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Working across teams, with all members of staff as required, for a variety of clients
  • Conducting depth interviews,moderating online communities and assisting focus groups.
  • Helping the team design research methods and writing proposals, screeners, discussion guides and supporting field materials.
  • Producing qualitative output and assisting in initiatives to improve the visual aspects of MMR output generally.
  • Assisting with project management and brief colleagues from other departments on all aspects of projects, to ensure accurate and timely execution of the research. Drawing up schedules for all aspects of each project and ensure that they are issued and agreed by all relevant personnel, notifying people immediately of any changes.
  • Liaising with international agencies and attending international fieldwork as appropriate
  • Analysing qualitative data, providing interpretation and recommendations for discussion with a manager in story meetings

    Qualitative Research Manager - London or Wallingford (Oxon)

    Are you a qualitative researcher looking for an exciting next step in your career? Do you enjoy working on high profile global accounts within the FMCG industry?

    Role

    We are looking for an exceptional qualitative researcher who is energetic, innovative and enthusiastic individual to join our dedicated qualitative team as a Qualitative Research Manager to be based either in our Oxfordshire head office or our Central London Blackfriars office.

    Our specialist qualitative team work across many of our account teams to lend qualitative weight to projects at all stages of the project cycle. Key responsibilities will include planning individual projects from start to finish, being hands on in terms of fieldwork (moderating workshops/focus groups/IDIs etc), client liaison and report writing. Experience of and an interest in online qualitative research would also be highly desirable.

    As well as offering a wide range of both traditional and more creative techniques, MMR has developed unique qualitative approaches that helps clients create and shape detailed product briefs right at the start of the innovation process. One approach, called EROS brings together the clients R&D and marketing teams, MMR’s qualitative, sensory and product experts and creative, sensorially articulate consumers. It really plays to our strengths and has proven very popular with clients, and is definitely one of the reasons why the qual function’s grown so strongly.
