Qualitative Trainee Research Executive

The opportunity…

MMR’s qualitative footprint is expanding, especially in terms of Sensory Qual Research, and we are looking for a Qualitative Trainee Research Executive to join this team. This role will be responsible assisting with the execution of fieldwork, helping with interpretation of information and report writing
 . You will suppory senior qualitative researchers to ensure that the research design, analysis and interpretation of results fulfils clients’ needs.

Trainee Research Executive’s get the opportunity to work across a number of well-known international brands helping to manage projects across all stages of the project cycle working within a dynamic, fast paced team environment. Responsibilities include:

  • Working across teams, with all members of staff as required, for a variety of clients
  • Conducting depth interviews, moderating online communities and assisting focus groups.
  • Helping the team design research methods and writing proposals, screeners, discussion guides and supporting field materials.
  • Producing qualitative output and assisting in initiatives to improve the visual aspects of MMR output generally.
  • Assisting with project management and brief colleagues from other departments on all aspects of projects, to ensure accurate and timely execution of the research. Drawing up schedules for all aspects of each project and ensure that they are issued and agreed by all relevant personnel, notifying people immediately of any changes.
  • Liaising with international agencies and attending international fieldwork as appropriate
  • Analysing qualitative data, providing interpretation and recommendations for discussion with a manager in story meetings

    The Role: Associate Director – Branding and Innovation 

    We are looking for an experienced brand strategist and innovation consultant who can lead branding, innovation and communications development projects with a group of clients. This role will be instrumental in the next stage of Huxly’s growth, and represents a great chance to be at the heart of a growing business.

    The successful candidate will own a group of major clients, building relationships through high quality project work and the sharing of inspiring content.

    Specific accountabilities will include:

  • Building relationships with target clients to increase our profile within the organization, and creating a global network of contacts who support Huxly.
  • Designing superb proposals, and delivering inspiring, unforgettable projects that make our clients come back to us for more work. Projects will be delivered alongside and with the support of:
  • Our qualitative team, who provide project management support and moderators around the world

    Our sensory qual team, who provide sensory science support when making recommendations on food and drink innovation and positioning.

    Our design team (internal and freelance) who help us make sure that project outputs are visually stunning

    Ideal Insight, our in house videography team, who create videos to summarise project learnings and bring concepts to life.

  • Working with our new business communications team to ensure our content is sent out in a timely manner, to the right people in the accounts you lead.
  • Based in the Wallingford office, our geographical scope will be the UK, Europe and the USA. We will be building a separate team based in Singapore to handle APAC, but there will be some opportunities to support that team as the business grows.

    Part-time Product Evaluator (Sensory Panelists) - Brentford

    Learn a new skill and help bring products to life in a permanent part-time role!

    MMR Research Worldwide specialise in consumer and sensory market research in the food, drink, personal and household care sectors.

    We are currently looking for articulate and collaborative people for current & future opportunities on our sensory team based in Brentford. Using the new skills that you’ll learn, you will be required to sample all sorts of oral health, skincare products and over the counter medicine.

    Responsibilities:

    • Working individually and within a team to evaluate products within the oral health and skincare industry.
    • Products range from toothpaste and mouthwash to moisturising creams.

    Hours:

    • Monday to Thursday, 9.30am – 12.30pm or 1.30pm to 4.30pm 
    • Flexibility to work on projects at home if required (on rare occasions)

    Requirements:

    • No experience necessary (full training provided)
    • Good sensory acuity (this will be tested at a screening session),
    • The ability to articulate yourself effectively in front of others.
    • You should not have any food intolerances / allergies, smoke / vape, mouth piercings or be on regular medication
